Behringer 1016 Dual Noise / Random Voltage Generator
Inject organic unpredictability and texture into your patches with the Behringer 1016, an authentic recreation of the legendary ARP 2500 series 1016 dual noise and random voltage generator. This versatile Eurorack module is a crucial utility for any modular system, providing a rich source of both audio-rate noise and slow, fluctuating random voltages. It's the perfect tool for creating percussive sounds, emulating wind and surf effects, or generating random modulations that can bring life and movement to otherwise static patches.
The 1016 features two independent analog noise generators. The first provides white, pink, and red (or brown) noise outputs, offering a full spectrum of noise colors for various applications. The second generator produces just white noise. Below the noise sources is a random voltage generator section that outputs both slow and fast random voltages, perfect for modulating filter cutoffs, oscillator pitches, or any other parameter you wish to animate with a non-repeating, unpredictable signal. The module's all-analog design ensures the classic, warm character of the noise and random voltages that were integral to the sound of the original 2500 system.
