Behringer 1050 Mix-Sequencer
The Behringer 1050 is a unique and powerful Eurorack module that faithfully recreates the classic ARP 2500 series 1050 Mix-Sequencer. This module combines the functionality of an eight-channel mixer with a flexible eight-step sequencer, offering a unique approach to both sequencing and audio/CV mixing. It can function as a traditional 8-to-1 mixer, a 1-to-8 sequential switch, or a flexible sequencer for generating complex patterns, making it an incredibly versatile hub for any modular synthesizer setup.
In its primary mode, the 1050 acts as an 8-step sequencer or switch. It can sequentially route a single input signal to one of its eight outputs, or sequentially mix up to eight input signals to a single output. The sequence can be advanced using an internal or external clock, and features dedicated inputs for resetting the sequence and enabling/disabling steps. A standout feature is the dual semi-tone/tone quantizer, which can conform the output voltages to a musical scale. With manual on/off switches for each channel and CV inputs for controlling the clock rate, the 1050 excels at creating intricate melodic sequences, complex modulation patterns, and dynamic audio routing effects.
